Swamp Sandwich by Swamp Music Players out November 15 on all steaming platforms and BandCamp!
Mixed and Mastered by Steve Greene at the Battle Chamber.
Swamp Music Players are described as, Retro futuristic music collective with a passion for Swamp Rock, Swamp Blues and Cosmic Americana. We are campus radio charting and involved in soundtrack projects.
This 5 track EP is described as, ‘Swamp Sandwich’ is about unfinished business, each song was an outlier that was always beached, stranded, abandoned or thrown on the back burner. Each song is a bit out there and a bit eccentric and each has its own story on the struggle to get it completed.
‘Swamp Sandwich’ includes retro Swamp Blues, Post Punk, Electro Rock and a Folk-Rock Ballad ! Retro-futuristic visions of classic American genre music.
With songs about Wizards, Nuclear War , False Love and True Love …..the four pillars of Swamp Music Players. Although we anticipate some critical pushback and gatekeepers for ‘Swamp Sandwich’ both ‘Swamp Wizard’ and ‘Nuclear Bogeyman’ have seen some early success , such as French radio , Radio in Maui , Moldova and on several music charts!
Steve Greene also contributed keyboards to most of the tracks and for Mikayla, Steve collaborated with Swamp Music Players and sang on the track.
Steve Greene is owner of the Battle Chamber studio as well as a musician, film composer and 1/3 of the band Voyag3r. Check out music and mix examples on the Sounds Page.

Here’s some information about the film:
Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan (April 14, 2024) – A seven-year passion project has finally been completed. Our goofy parody comedy “Killer Kabbage” had its final render and has been submitted to several film festivals to begin its journey through the circuit. What began as a short film back in 2011 has had a rebirth into a feature-length film running a whopping 94 minutes! This was a collaboration of creative minds with a dedication to deliver an entertaining and funny adventure for the audience to experience.
With Hollywood rehashing and rebooting, it’s very rare when something original seeps through the cracks of the corporate industry. Although, wouldn’t this be considered a reboot of the existing short film from 13 years ago even though nobody watched it? Oh crap, we’ve already been sucked into the Hollywood reboot whirlpool!
Voyag3r completed a badass score that helped drive this picture from the dreaded post-production phase right into completion. I’ve always told my peers, music can either make or break a movie. And it’s their excellent music that definitely helps make this movie.
Animastor Studios, location in India, used their wonderful CGI talents to help bring this film from a micro-budget YouTube video to a passable Tubi movie experience. They took my very detailed ideas and brought them to life.
Finally, I couldn’t have done this without the cast and crew. They put just as much passion and energy into this film as I have with my countless late night hours in front of the computer editing. You guys rock.
There is no official release date yet, as the film festival circuit may or may not find us a distributor. After it’s run, I will have a pretty good idea on release. I will also be announcing dates and locations when festivals select the film to be shown at their venue.
Thank you all again. 2024 will see the rise of the Killer Kabbage.

Multi-instrumentalist, film composer, producer and 1/3 of Voyag3r offers up 7 electronic/synth/orchestral pieces that score a dark journey of the fabric of the cosmos, sentient journeys, past, present and future and the, at times, sinister nature of our minds and trust in Ai.
Written and recorded at Steve’s studio, the Battle Chamber, a varied collection of analog synths, orchestral samples and digital mangling created, Imprinted Echoes.
The track, The Machines Cannot Help You, debuts on Friday, February 23, via Bandcamp as well as the pre-sale for the CD going live. The Machines Cannot Help You is a twisted combination of synthesizer music meets orchestral instruments creating an energetic, doomsday film action sequence flavor.

Join us at the sun bleached Tiki Motel where love, suspicion and vibes intersect. An EP/album of retro-futuristic stylized American music genres of Swamp Pop, Alt Rock, Alt synth Pop and Blues.
Tiki Motel 2 was mixed and mastered by Steve Greene at the Battle Chamber as well as some added instrumentation, on various tracks.
The track, Ice Machine recently received an excellent write up via Death Or Desire.
Introducing Swamp Music Players with “Ice Machine”. With its moody, sad ambiance, the song joins the ranks of similar artists like Chromatics, Kandle, Electric Youth, and College.
What sets “Ice Machine” apart is its unique blend of synthwave and jazz we think personally, highlighted by a subtle soft snare percussion. Written by Hollywood’s Sugar Parks, the track spins a haunting tale set at the infamous Tiki Motel in California—most notably known as the seedy location in the 1980s film ‘The Terminator.’ The narrative is a pretty gripping one too, following a woman who takes the life of her spouse’s lover. As she grapples with her actions and thoughts, she becomes increasingly aware that the police are closing in on her. The music captures this tension and internal turmoil masterfully, turning “Ice Machine” into a mini-noir film for the ears. This emotionally charged single paired with the compelling musical backdrop makes “Ice Machine” more than just a track, but an experience.

Emerging from the ranks of bands such as Battlecross, Cursed Eternity, and As They Sleep, the 2015-founded heavy metal group Finality delivers a solid debut album, “Technocracy.” Striking a well-crafted balance between classic and contemporary elements, the band showcases a rich instrumental backdrop with skillfully executed riffs and supersonic leads. The modern heavy metal sound is embodied in the album’s controlled aggression, without relying too heavily on nostalgic connections.
The dynamic vocals adeptly adjust to the changing pace of the music, whether it’s fast and aggressive or slower and melodious, resulting in a highly commendable and engaging musical experience. “Technocracy” marks a promising start for Finality, as they carve out their own path in the heavy metal landscape.

Steve Greene‘s track, Unbeknownst (The Wayward School) was composed for the companion album for author John Bergin‘s book of short stories entitled, Feels Like Rain.
John Bergin deftly weaves sixteen tales spanning a range of genres and topics—from the horrific and apocalyptic to the mundane, murderous, and supernatural. These are stories about guilt, anger, unknown pleasures, and death.
In Raised by Rats, a chance encounter with a superhero alters the course of a young man’s life. In Corpse Gun, a guide leads his charges across a surreal wasteland to a destination deadlier than the journey undertaken to reach it. In The Mountaineer, a determined man undertakes the Sisyphean task of delivering an extraordinary gift to a remote location. In The Bullet Collector, a teacher flees from America’s gun worship and discovers there is no escape. In The Crying Giant, a fairy tale ending eludes a gentle giant. In The House Of Frankenstein, the Frankenstein monster is alive and well, working his strangest case yet as a private investigator in New York City. In Lost in the Cold Hard Vacuum of Outer Space, a rebellious space pilot happens upon a lost astronaut who teaches her how to cool her jets.
These stories revolt, arouse, terrify, and delight—reveling in the imperfections of being human.
Unbeknownst (The Wayward School) was recorded and mixed here, at the Battler Chamber by Steve Greene. Listen to the track via Spotify or Apple Music.
You can get your own copy of the book by visiting John Bergin’s BandCamp page.

Check out this blurb from Film Threat magazine: “The fascinating part of Future is that it’s not necessarily about Doug being sent to kill a future bad guy, though that is a part of the story. It’s more about the relationship between Doug and the Time Traveler. Doug is the guy who has wasted his life to this point. The Time Traveler, on the other hand, has schemed his way with many other saps, like Doug, and gets off on being there for the final days of someone’s life. He promotes falling into hedonistic desires and goes along with it. It’s this conflicting relationship that makes the story of Future so clever and different. This genre is in desperate need of both of those elements.”
